Clark County Forest 15-Year Comprehensive Land Use Plan

The public is invited to submit written comments on the draft Clark County Forest Comprehensive Land Use Plan 2021 – 2035 (Plan). The Plan expires December 31, 2020 and is the 5th generation plan for the Clark County Forest.

The Plan outlines policies and procedures Clark County uses to administer and manage the county forest. Timber management, wildlife habitat, recreational opportunities, access and more are included in the Plan.

In September 2019, Clark County enlisted the assistance of a diverse, ten-member advisory team to begin formulating draft language for the Plan. The Clark County Forestry and Parks Committee requests public input before final revisions are made and the Plan is submitted to the Clark County Board of Supervisors for final approval.

Draft copies of the Plan are available electronically on the Clark County website at the following address: https://www.clarkcountywi.com/forestry-parks. Hard copies are also available for review at the Forestry and Parks Department business office in the courthouse.

Written comments may be submitted no later than 4:30 pm on October 27, 2020 to: countyforestplan@co.clark.wi.us or Clark County Forestry and Parks Department, 517 Court Street, Room 103, Neillsville, WI 54456. All comments must include your complete name and address to be recognized.
