Sheriff Haines Statement on Mask Enforcement

Updated: Aug 7, 2020

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is available 24/7, 365 days a year. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office will not be responding to mask complaints unless other circumstances require a law enforcement presence. If a complainant comes to the communication center, they will document the complaint and dispatch it to the appropriate jurisdiction. If it is a complaint for the Sheriff’s Office, it will be forwarded to the on duty sergeant for review to see if it warrants a response by our agency.

Please continue to respect the rights of private businesses that may require the wearing of face coverings. They are doing what they feel is best for their establishment. The Sheriff’s Office will respond to assist businesses in maintaining peace and order in those cases.
